The CQHA has maintained its affiliation with the Breeds & Industry Division of Equine-Hippique Canada through the 2000 to 2011 membership years, as it permits participation and a voice in the affairs of Canada's only national equine body recognized by the Canadian Government, in dealing with issues and legislation affecting horse ownership.
The AQHA has supported the CQHA by providing funding to cover the cost of 2000 - 2011 affiliate membership benefits in Equine Canada for its Canadian resident members-in-good-standing of AQHA, automatically enrolling some 19,693 members (2010 membership statistic). Current AQHA members are eligible for CQHA membership at NO additional membership fee by enrolling online, click here for the CQHA membership form to enroll on-line .
However, Canadian owners of American Quarter Horses who are NOT current members of AQHA, must purchase a "Direct" CQHA membership by calendar year. Click here for CQHA Direct Membership Form, if they wish to become members of CQHA. (This is a stand-alone membership, there is no requirement to purchase either an AQHA, or provincial Quarter Horse association affiliate membership, although such memberships are recommended.)
We sincerely invite you to become a member of the CQHA, your support and input will be valued. We are seeking motivated members to serve on various CQHA committees which may be of interest to you, or to serve on the CQHA Board of Directors. If you have questions or concerns relating to membership benefits, or other CQHA issues and concerns, please contact me as indicated below.
Yours truly,
Marnie Somers, President, CQHA
